Mark Gonzales, “the Gonz”, was born in South Gate, California, in 1968.
In the 1980s he helped invent street skating, taking tricks onto handrails and stairs, and he has kept painting, drawing and writing poems.

In 2011 Transworld Skateboarding named him the most influential skateboarder of all time.
In 1998 he skated through Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach, Germany, as a performance.

A collaboration with Victorinox: the Classic Alox pocket knife, in red and in black.

Victorinox is the maker of the Swiss Army knife, founded by Karl Elsener as a cutlery workshop in Ibach, Switzerland, in 1884.

Its Officer’s knife was patented in 1897.
