Opinel is a French knife maker: Joseph Opinel made his first pocket knife at Gévoudaz, in Savoie, in 1890.

In 1955 Marcel Opinel added the Virobloc, a turning ring that locks the blade.

A collaboration with Alfredo Martinez, his guns embroidered on leather.

Alfredo Martinez (1967–2023) was born in New York City and was known for his drawings of guns.

He served time in federal prison for forging and selling drawings attributed to Jean-Michel Basquiat.
