Larry Clark Girl Tee | Martin Wong/Supreme Secret World Rayon S/S Shirt
Supreme · Vol. 057

A collaboration with Larry Clark: a photograph he first made for Supreme’s 2005 calendar.
Larry Clark was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1943.
His first photobook, Tulsa (1971), showed the drug-filled lives of his friends; in 1995 he made his first film, Kids.
He learned photography as a teenager, helping his mother, who photographed babies door to door.

With artwork by Martin Wong: his painting My Secret World, 1978–1981 (1984), his room seen through a window, with his books and small versions of his paintings.
Martin Wong (1946–1999) was born in Portland, Oregon.
In New York he painted the Lower East Side brick by brick, as in Big Heat (1986), two firefighters kissing in front of a ruined tenement.
He collected 1980s New York graffiti and gave the collection to the Museum of the City of New York.
