Dash's Wall Hooded Sweatshirt
Dash's Wall Hooded SweatshirtSS21

A collaboration with Dan Colen.
The print comes from his Secrets and Cymbals, Smoke and Scissors (My Friend Dash’s Wall in the Future) (2004–06), a full-scale copy of a collaged wall in his friend Dash Snow’s East Village apartment.
Every clipping, note, photo and sticker on it is a replica Colen painted by hand.

Dan Colen was born in New Jersey in 1979 and came up in the downtown New York art scene of the early 2000s, alongside Dash Snow and Ryan McGinley.
He is known for paintings made with chewing gum, and for candle paintings whose smoke spells out words.
In 2006 he showed in the Whitney Biennial.

In 2011 he started Sky High Farm in upstate New York, a nonprofit farm that grows food to give away.

A collaboration with the estate of Dash Snow.
The print is made of tabloid headlines, the stuff of many of his collages: he kept stacks of the New York Post and the Daily News, and cut their headlines into works of his own.

Dash Snow (1981–2009) was born in New York.
In the 1990s he wrote graffiti as SACE with IRAK, a crew of writers, skaters and artists.
He photographed his friends and their nights on Polaroids, and showed in the 2006 Whitney Biennial.

In 2007 he and Dan Colen filled Deitch Projects with shredded phone books for their installation Nest.
