Artek® Aalto Stool 60 | Margaret Keane Teardrop S/S Work Shirt
Supreme · Vol. 069

A collaboration with Artek: Alvar Aalto’s Stool 60, with a checkerboard printed on the seat.
Artek is a Finnish furniture company, founded in Helsinki in 1935 by Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl.
Alvar Aalto designed Stool 60 in 1933, with bent birch legs; it has been made ever since.

With artwork by Margaret Keane: one of her big-eyed girls, a tear on her cheek.
Margaret Keane (1927–2022) was born in Nashville, Tennessee.
Her paintings of children with huge eyes became popular in the 1950s, though for years her husband, Walter, claimed them as his.
In a 1986 trial she proved they were hers by painting one in court.
